The CABAC CASR400/300 Copper Reducing Link is designed for joining a 400mm² copper conductor to a 300mm² copper conductor using a compression crimp connection. Reducing links are used where a cable size transition is required while maintaining a secure, low-resistance electrical joint between conductors of different cross-sectional areas.

This reducing link is suitable for circular and sector stranded copper conductors and is commonly used in reducing joints, fly leads, cable tails and heavy-duty power distribution work. The copper body provides excellent conductivity, while the link design assists with maintaining mechanical strength and electrical continuity when installed with the correct crimping tool and die set.

Installation Notes

Use the reducing link only with compatible copper conductors and the correct compression tooling for each conductor size. Strip and prepare both conductors correctly, fully insert each conductor into the matching side of the link, and crimp using the appropriate die sequence. Confirm the completed joint is mechanically sound and suitably insulated before energising.
