The CABAC CASR400/185 Copper Reducing Link is a compression connector used to join a 400mm² copper conductor to a 185mm² copper conductor. It is designed for cable size reduction applications where a reliable electrical and mechanical connection is required between different conductor sizes.
This reducing link is suitable for circular and sector stranded copper conductors and is commonly used in reducing joints, fly leads, cable tails, switchboards, distribution equipment and industrial electrical installations. Installation Notes
Prepare both copper conductors carefully and insert each conductor into the correct side of the reducing link. Use the proper crimping tool and die set for the 400mm² and 185mm² conductor ends. After crimping, check mechanical security and apply suitable insulation or jointing materials for the installation conditions.
